Today is Betty and Warren's birthday. Can't believe he is gone. Can't believe the way circumstances have turned out but we must press on and remember the best that we've lived through.

Yesterday, Joan Gohn and I shopped until we dropped in St. Louis and enjoyed every moment. It was too hot to shop but we survived. I came home and Shad Burner, the alumni director, came by with a card. Ken Dobbins sent a card also and I responded was he too cheap to take me to lunch--emailed to Diane Sides. I did a phone interview correction with Russ Withers before I left.

I can't believe I did this but I kept track of everyone who sent a card, FB, email or visit or gift. Todate there are 89 people. That is something of which I am proud! It makes you think that you are not forgotten even though you are retired.

I am going to lunch with Bev Hickam, Barb Kinsey and Debbie Bickings today and then Joan and I are going to a party at Jerry Ford's tonight. No, I am not lonely with lunches every day next week. Can't believe it.

All I know today is gratitude.
