My social life was certainly impeded this weekend by my choice. I needed to stay home and write which I did. By Sunday night I regretted the choice. But today, I am up and raring to go. Debbie is coming to do my hair, Liz is coming to work at 10 and I am going to lunch with Dr. Leon Book. When we lived in Malden, the Books lived next door to us. It will be great to see him. He retired from the University and took a job with Southeast College of Nursing.

We are going to the Thai Restaurant to eat. I talked on the phone a lot this weekend but saw no one. Joan goes to the farm every Sunday and Bev and I talked on the phone. I do want to go see Julia Roberts new movie, Eat, Pray and Love this week. I even ordered the book. I watched her and the author on Oprah this week and the author really wanted a year off to think--she was given an advance to go do this trip. Who wouldn't have done it under those circumstances?

My meeting with editor is on Friday morning. I hope he likes what I have done so far.
